The Basilisk was a monstrous lizard that took up residence in the Barren Region shortly after the Cataclysm. Aside from being simply enormous, it had vice-like jaws with razor sharp teeth. It also possessed the ability to fire bolts of energy from its eyes. Many tried to defeat it, but each were killed until Connor slew it with the Black Diamond Spear. After the battle, Connor took the creature's tongue.
