Suleiman bin Daoud was once the Sultan of Shapeir, ruling over both Shapeir and Raseir. He was known not only for his wisdom, but also for his powerful magical abilities. He is also said to have been especially kind. Despite this, his greatest legacy was his victory of the powerful marid Iblis during the Djinn War. He summoned a great army of djinn and battled the army that Iblis had raised in the Forbidden City.

Suleiman foresaw that Iblis would rise again, so unbeknownst to all, he bound the djinn who would be called He Who Waits Behind to guard the Statue of Iblis. However, it was only by reciting the name of Suleiman that the Hero from the North was able to reach the statue -- thus ensuring Suleiman's Prophecy.

Real World[]

Suleiman bin Daoud is a character mentioned in Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire. He is inspired by Solomon ben David, the wise king who is in both the Bible and the Qur'an. The Qur'an describes Solomon as having power over djinn.
