While barely civilized, Goons make excellent guards and can also be frequently found in service to mercenary armies. Some goons live in towns or cities along with other civilized races, while other goons are feral and live in the wilds of various lands. Feral goons are most common amongst the islands of the Med Sea.
- "Goons are semi-domesticated relatives of ogres. Not actually a monster unless you make them mad, Goons are large, ugly, and rather dumb. With patience, kindness, and five years of extensive training, they can be housebroken." (Excerpt from QfG1 Manual)
- "Goons are amazingly intelligent when compared to your average ogre. They will generally follow orders, unless the orders interfere with following potential food. Humans fall into that category as goons are tough enough to turn the slow adventurer into fast food." (Excerpt from QfG5 Manual)
Goons appear as characters in Quest for Glory I: So You Want to be a Hero?, Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness, and appear as a random monster (and some set encounters) in Quest for Glory V: Dragonfire.
