The Golden Fish in KQII: Romancing the Stones by AGDI
The Golden Fish was a sentient fish swimming the waters around the Enchanted Island on which the Crystal Tower stood. Graham caught the fish in a fishing net. After throwing it back into the water, the fish offered to give Graham a ride across the sea to the Enchanted Island. Graham accepted.

Graham could also have eaten the fish, whose flesh would have granted him the ability to swim across the ocean himself.
Real World[]
The Golden Fish appears in King's Quest II: Romancing the Throne and allows the player to reach the island where Valanice is being imprisoned. The Golden Fish also appears, in the same role, in the VGA reinterpretation King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones by AGDI . Eating the fish in the VGA retelling offers fewer points.
