A band of adventurers, the Blood Elf Heroes are a group of Blood Elves who began their adventures in the northern part of Quel'Thalas in the Eversong Woods on Sunstrider Isle, five years after the Scourge destroyed the Sunwell. Committed to regaining their powers and inspired by Kael'Thas Sunstrider, they set out to find ways to defend against the Scourge among their new allies in the Horde. The group contained Hunters, Mages, Blood Knights, Priests, Rogues, and Warlocks.
As they continued on their adventures they joined with the various other Champions of the Horde, sometimes coming into conflict with the Champions of the Alliance. Eventually they passed through the Dark Portal into the Outlands, where they ultimately joined the fight against their former liege Kael'Thas, who had betrayed them for the Burning Legion. Afterwards, they -- along with the other Champions of Azeroth joined the fight against the Scourge in Northrend. It was at about this time that some of the Death Knights of the Knights of the Ebon Blade separated from the Scourge. Seeking allies for their new order, several of these knights began adventuring with the Horde -- including fallen Blood Elves.
The Cataclysm that rocked Azeroth during their war against Arthas Menethil the Lich King led the Blood Elf adventurers, as well as the other heroes, back to Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Having to adapt to new ways of survival, the adventurers soon found their rank joined by Blood Elf Warriors.
For the simplicity of this Wiki, we take the stance that there is at least one Champion of Azeroth of each race/class combination available in the game.
