Aarindarius is a friend of Vaarsuvius's family and was the elf who tutored the adventurous mage in magic. He was once an iron mage in the Library Stadium, but presently resides in a heavily fortified tower. He has an extreme dislike of fiends, and if one managed to find its way into the tower he would destroy it without hestitation.
Aarindarious may be immensely powerful -- as Vaarsuvius imagined that he would be able to kill the Mother Dragon without even looking up from his book.

Aarindarius appeared in the 630th strip of The Order of the Stick, as well as appearing in flashback in the book On the Origin of the PCs.
